Hi, my name's Mandy. I live in the UK and I have been a fan of NO since the early 80's. It's such a refreshing change to meet other girls who love NO. My Partner isnt really a fan, so I just don't have anyone to talk to..............about Barney in particular. Didn't Barneys Angels originate from NOOL though?

Hi Mandy, glad you found us. This kind of originated from NOOL. I noticed that some fans wanted a place where they could discuss New Order/Bernard Sumner in more detail, so to speak, so I created this. :-)

    HI Girls,

My name is Claire, I'm 33 and a have lived in Manchester all my life. I have been a new order fan scince 1988. I think this site is great fun; and proves that all New Order fans are not spotty students or footy hooligans!!
I think Bernard is so cute, and have done since 1988.

    Hi,

Wow - I'm not the only person on this planet who thinks Bernard is a god!

I'm Lisa and I've been a New Order fan for a long time. I live in Yorkshire and have ventured over to Manchester on many occasions, but sadly have never seen him. Here's hoping....

Hi Lisa! Welcome to the site. You are not alone in your love for Bernard. We're glad you're here! I hope to visit the Manchester area the summer of 2008. I'd at least like to see Ian Curtis' grave. If I happen to spot Bernard then so be it! :-)

Aside from Gillian Gilbert and Stephen Morris, are any of the other members currently married? This includes Phil Cunningham.

I believe they are all married. I know Bernard Sumner is married and I'm almost positive Peter Hook is as well.

Hi! I found your site through the IMBD "Control" board. I'm 49 and have loved JD and NO since I was your age! Got to meet Barney during the LowLife tour when they stopped here in New Orleans. When I introduced myself as "Laura", he sweetly said "That's my mother's name!". I'll never forget that moment.
    Good luck with your site!

Hi!!! I'm from the USand I found you site after looking at Google, and I am here because I absolutely love BLT live videos, and the way Bernard dances. I think everyone should dance like that-- he captures the song's essence with it..
    I just love him.

What a great vid Adriana !! I love it when Bernard gets down on his knees and prays (probably that he'll be able to get back up lol) -:face-devil-grin: and when he forgets the words, priceless!!!! Wouldn't have him any other way!!! Loved it!!!!

    Unfortunately I think that's what I look like when I dance :face-crying:

Wonder how many drinks he'd had before they went on?

LOL yeah, he is 51...every time he gets on his knees it is no doubt a coin toss whether or not he'll be able to stand without pulling a muscle :face-angel: I think I'd have to drink (and I'm not a drinker) before getting on stage in front of all those people! I couldn't do it.

Bernard Sumner got married recently and Peter Hook has been married for quite some time - I actually met Peter Hook and his wife last night. Well, just Peter, but his wife was there too.

Hi I've been reading your site for a few weeks now & thought I would join in.
I am a massive New Order/Joy Division fan...verging on obsessive!! I saw JD in Oct 79 (in Bradford) - prob giving my age a way there!....well I was pretty young!....sounds a bit over the top but changed my life!
Anyway enough rappiting...just "hi" for the moment

    Have you been a JD/NO fan for a while?:face-smile:

I have been a fan for over 25 years, I'm proud to say. That's a long time to carry a torch for Bernard Sumner. My husband thinks I'm crazy for listening to the same songs every day for so many years, but I think he's gotten used to it. LOL

    Hi
Sorry for late reply still felt rough yesterday after heavy weekend....still not 100% today!! ha ha...takes a few days for me to recover these days!
Well I saw JD (which is my claim to fame!!) supporting the Buzzcocks, on 25th Oct 79! at Bradford St Georges Hall (I live in Halifax which is few miles away)...I was 14 & went with some school friends. They left big impression on me. Have seen NO 5 times....last time was in 2005 at O2 fest in Hyde Park.
Just for info Hooky mentions Halifax in the an interview extra on 24hour party saying that JD played to 2 people at the Good Mood Club in Halifax - it was in June 79. I am gutted never went to that & wish could turn back time!
This sounds ridiculous but honestly thought it was only me & my friend that had a thing for Barney!!...then I discovered this site!:face-smile:

Very cool story. It would have been amazing to have seen Joy Division. Alas I was too young and in the wrong country. :face-crying:
